Jaejoong had been in the shower when Junsu pounded on his apartment door screaming that they had won the lawsuit.

"Do you want take out? My treat?" Jaejoong asked when he stepped out into the living room and grabbed his keys from the coffee table.

"Is something wrong?" Yoochun stood up fom the couch. Apparently, it was he who had informed Junsu of the news and they had came together to his apartment afterwards.

"Nothing's wrong," Jaejoong dismissed and put on his coat, "I just wanted to celebrate with you guys and I really don't feel like cooking anything tonight. Be right back, okay?"

Jaejoong closed the door behind him before any of his members could retort, and shivered slightly at the night wind.

"Something wrong?" Jaejoong whispered at Yoochun's question when he got into his car. He sighed and turned on the engine and looked at the small picture frame attatched to a chain hanging on his rearview mirror. The five smiles mocked him.

"Of course there's something wrong, idiot. How could you forget, Yoochun?"

With another audible sigh, Jaejoong pulled his car out of the parking lot and onto the road. He needed to get away. He needed to breathe and let the night air run through his hair.

He drove with one destination in mind. As he got closer, he could hear the crashing waves and parked his car in the empty parking lot. He could smell the salty air and memories flashed in his mind one by one. Especially those memories with a certain maknae.

Jaejoong didn't think that anyone would be at the beach so late at night, so he just concentrated on how soft the cool sand felt between his toes. He had almost reached the edge where the sand and water met before a voice spoke out from the darkness.

"Who's there? Hyung?"

Jaejoong stopped. He didn't want to turn around. He didn't want to see that face.

"It's you, isn't it?" the voice said, a bit closer now.

"Stop!" Jaejoong hissed in panic, "D-Don't come any closer."

"I heard that you won."

Jaejoong kept quiet. He knew exactly what the other man was talking about.

"Aren't you supposed to be celebrating with those two?" the voice asked. Jaejoong clenched his hands at the casual question,

"How can I celebrate? What exactly are we celebrating? Tell me, Changmin."

"Easy promotion without being blocked by TV shows," Changmin answered. And SM Entertainment.

Jaejoong could feel the body heat of the younger man back at his back and shivered but not because of the cold,

"And you think that's more important?"

"Hyung . . ."

Jaejoong finally turned around and frowned when he noticed that Changmin had grew a few inches taller since the last time he saw the young man,

"Yes, we may have won the lawsuit, but how can you tell me to celebrate when we still aren't allowed to see each other?"

"That's a different matter entirely," Changmin sighed.

"Is it?" Jaejoong scoffed. Changmin rolled his eyes,

"Stop acting like a spoiled child, hyung. You got what you wanted, so why can't you just be happy?"

"Then, are you happy?" Jaejoong asked and Changmin could tell it was some sort of challenge from the older man. Changmin sighed,

"Hyung . . ."

"Don't avoid the question," Jaejoong hissed with a glare.

"I'm not."

"You are, now answer," Jaejoong snapped. Changmin felt exasperated. He had only come out to the beach for some air and some time to think. But he didn't think that his ex would also have the same thoughts. And now he was pestered to think about the lawsuit, the very thing that screwed up their relationship in the first place.

"I am. I'm happy with the way things turned out. You three got what you wanted. Now fans can stop bringing me and Yunho into the fight when it's supposed to be you three and SM."

Jaejoong stared at the water, "Are you telling the truth? Are you really happy that we're no longer tied to the company?"

"You were unhappy and now that you finally got your freedom, isn't it just natural for people to be happy for you?" Changmin wondered.

"So you aren't genuinely happy for us . . . you just went along with how everyone reacted at the news," Jaejoong turned around. Changmin turned away at the hurt on the older man's face. He could slowly feel his walls breaking.

Jaejoong took a step closer and noticed the troubled expression on Changmin's face,

"You're lying . . . You have to be."

Changmin took a step back, "I have to go. I've been out for too long."

Jaejoong watched Changmin take a few steps away from him before shouting,

"Liar!"

Changmin stumbled forward when he felt a body at his back and arms around his waist,

"Hyung . . ."

"Fine, let's just say that you are happy for us. But what about me? What about what we had?"

Changmin wanted to pull the hands away. He wanted to go far away and back to his room before he broke down and let his feelings for the older man come back.

"How can you say that, hyung? You were the one who stepped away from us."

"I thought . . . that you would follow me," Jaejoong whispered. Changmin grabbed at the hands around his waist and pulled gently before turning around to face the older man,

"I don't regret what I did and you shouldn't either."

"So it's over then?" Jaejoong whispered and Changmin stepped back with a nod,

"It's over, hyung."

"There's no more us? No more DBSK as five?"

Changmin leaned forward with tear-stained cheeks and kissed the older man,

"I'm sorry."

A/N: A really abrupt ending. I apologize.
