Title: Nothing Special
Pairing: Changmin/Jaejoong
Genre: Humor
Rating: PG
Idea: Prompt from 30 Days OTP Challenge on Tumblr and this gif of Changmin.
Warning: Un-beta'd
Summary: Cat AU. Jaejoong is just Jaejoong to him. Just because it was the older cat's birthday, didn't mean a thing to him.
A/N: Blame it on Changmin. The day I decided to log into Tumblr, the gif of Changmin above, greeted me and I immediately thought of a short story. He really is my writing muse. *sigh* And here I was, planning to take the day off from writing. I guess not. -__-

Changmin sat on his hunches, leering down at his hyung sleeping soundly in his bed. That morning, he woke up early, having been persuaded by the older cat to take turns in waking their Master up every other day, and today was his turn. After doing his duty that morning, his master ordered him to wake up the other cat so that they could spend the rest of the day celebrating the cat's 29th birthday. So here he was, back in his shared bedroom with Jaejoong, staring with a sneer at the other cat who was blissfully asleep. His tail thumped against the mattress in slight irritation.
"There's no need to treat him any different. It's just his birthday," Changmin grumbled. He looked around the room and spotted a water gun in their toy basket and an idea came to mind. He stood up from the bed and picked up the water gun before heading out to the bathroom to fill up the toy. He returned back to the bedroom to find that the cat was still asleep and smiled wickedly,
"This is what you get, hyung."
He aimed and fired, spraying a stream of water at the cat's face. He watched with excitement when the older cat woke up with a sputter and flailed his arms around to block the water from hitting his face. But Changmin didn't relent until there was no water left.
"Oops," Changmin whispered when the older cat fixed a glare his way, his hair plastered to his forehead and dripping wet, and clothes soaked all the way through.
"Changmin ..." Changmin heard the other cat growl. Changmin smiled sheepishly and gave a little wave before he high-tailed it out of the room when he heard his hyung scream his name. He dropped the empty toy gun and headed downstairs to the kitchen where he skidded to a stop just in time to see his master turn around. The man smiled at the sight of him, not at all curious as to why he was out of breath.
"Did you do what I asked and wake up Jaejoong, Changmin?" the man asked, wiping his hands on the kitchen towel.
"Yeah, I did," Changmin almost purred when the man walked closer and scratched behind his ears,
"Good."
Heh. How's that for starting your birthday on a good note, hyung?
