I am waiting for your call,
but it never comes.
Do you even miss me,
or is there something that holds you back?
I looked at the pictures of what we used to be,
of you and I mostly.
Those days are far gone, right?
Then why do I have the urge to bring you to me?
Do you feel the same as I?
Do you want to go back to the past,
where our smiles were real and our love was genuine?
The fleeting glances and touches,
are all that's been reminded of you.
Now those things,
I can't see or feel anymore.
I have become numb with the pain,
that I can't take you here with me.
I don't want this to be the last time we fall in love,
but it seems like it.
Tell me, will this be our first and last?
Or will our future be bright with us standing before the sunrise?
I want to know so badly,
to hear your voice and see you smile once again.
Now I stand here amongst the strangers,
waiting to see your familiar face through the crowds.
